Accommodations

Our operations are based out of the cities of Red Deer and Calgary, Alberta. We work with a variety of facilities that provide differing types of accommodations to base from during your stay.

• We have rooms in our guest house in Red Deer very close to the Red Deer River. It is quiet and spacious, offering you a private accommodation to base trips on the Red Deer, cutthroat float trips, brown trout streams, and the Ram River.

• When floating the Red Deer River we also suggest hotels in the city of Red Deer, or the peaceful setting of a working guest ranch on the banks of a prime spring creek. Guests staying at the ranch simply drive to meet us at the put in location on the Red Deer River each day. Guests staying at a hotel in Red Deer are picked up by the guide daily.

• When traveling to fish Fortress Lake, our cutthroat trout floats, or wilderness camps, we base the beginning of your trip from either hotel or guest ranch accommodations before we pick you up to leave for the duration of your trip.

• When basing a trip out of Calgary to fish the Bow or other rainbow trout waters, we suggest hotel accommodations in the city and do day trips from there. This provides you the unique opportunity to enjoy Calgary's culture by evening and various trout waters by day. Several excellent trout waters are within a reasonable drive from Calgary to provide a very diverse fly fishing trip.

• While at Fortress Lake you will enjoy comfortable cabins with full linens and all the amenities of home, just done in a manner that makes sense for this remote location.

• Finally, on our rafting and camping fly fishing trips, we employ rustic, primitive tent camps. You will be very comfortable at Fortress Lake.
