New Video! MOMENTS: “DEEP”

Behind those huge New Zealand mouse year fish is the “how” it happens, what the tendencies are, and what happens once you crack the code and hook up. This isn’t a “how-to” but there are a lot of subtleties embedded in this video. When in doubt with New Zealand mouse year fish, go DEEP. This was filmed on our second day of this year’s trip to New Zealand, Dave’s third such fish from this run. It was a wonderful moment in time watching him chase after this fat brown trout.

From the top of those rapids to a fish in hand; would love to know how you managed that white water. The rod angle and deep bend into the butt looked like you were fighting a tarpon. The Jensen’s have revolutionized the art of fighting big trout: athletic, creative, original, and fearless. And not just entertaining as these videos have helped me immeasurably regarding hook sets and fighting tactics. Manny, many thanks!
